Abstract

This study is a descriptive qualitative research with the aim of knowing the aspects of mathematical resilience that appear
in each stage of Problem Based Learning (PBL). The study was conducted on prospective students of mathematics teacher
at PGRI Banyuwangi University who experienced PBL learning. The results of the study were obtained from 5 PBL steps,
namely problem orientation, organizing for learning, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and
presenting results, and analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process. There are 6 aspects of resilience, namely
persevering, adaptive, creative, self-motivated, curiosity, and self-control. The conclusion from the research is that: (1)
Step Orientation on the problem there is a motivational aspect; (2) Steps to organize to learn there are aspects of selfcontrol and adaptive; (3) The steps to guide individual and group investigations include adaptive, diligent, self-control,
curiosity, self-motivation, and creative aspects; (4) The steps to develop and present the results include aspects of selfcontrol, curiosity, self-motivation, and adaptability; (5) Steps to analyze and evaluate the problem-solving process there
are aspects of perseverance, adaptability, curiosity, self-motivation, and self-control.
