Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency has the potential of Japanese historical
heritage, namely the Bunker. However, the relics of the Japanese Bunker
have not been inventoried and cannot be developed into a historical tourist
attraction. The objectives of this research are: First: an inventory of
Japanese Bangker and Cave Heritage, Second: Model Development of
Japanese Bunkers as a historical tourist destination. The methodology used
in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection methods
Observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis used is SWOT
analysis. The results of the study The existence of Japanese bunkers and
caves in the village of Ketapang is located in the hamlet of Gunung Remuk
and the hamlet of Selogiri. In Selogiri Hamlet there are 2 bunkers and KTP�WD 01 & KTP-WD 02 Hamlets and in Gunung Remuk Hamlet there are 22
bunkers and Caves, namely KTP-GNR 01 to KTP-GNR 22. The results of
internal factor analysis and external factor analysis show that the bunker
development as a historical tourist destination in Banyuwangi district has a
very good opportunity. The bunker development model as an object of
historical tourism is integrated and sustainable tourism with a focus on
developing tourist areas. The marketing strategy used is an integrated
marketing model by utilizing all the potential it has which includes
archaeological resources, natural resources, and human resources by using
online and offline promotional media.
